Ready for Czech EET 2.0 and hands-off accounting

From 1 January 2027 the Czech Republic brings back electronic sales registration (EET 2.0). Bob Menu is ready: when a waiter closes a bill, the system sends a signed message to the tax authority and stores the confirmation code. Guests notice nothing, no receipt printing is required.

FAQ

Do I have to print receipts from 2027?

No. EET 2.0 removed the obligation. Guests get a receipt only on request; Bob Menu can show it on their phone.

What if the internet goes down?

Waiters keep closing bills. Messages queue up and are sent automatically after the connection returns, within the legal 48 hours.

Does it apply to card payments?

Yes, a card payment at the terminal on the premises counts as an in-person payment. Bank transfers and e-shop payments are not registered.

How much does it cost?

Nothing extra – it is part of Bob Menu. The state issues the certificate for free.
